WWII-era German Kriegsmarine Dagger

9.75" blade length. 16.5" overall with scabbard. Double edged blade with center ridge and double fullers to both sides of blade. Features a gilded brass crossguard with push button release and reliefs of fouled anchors, acanthus leaves, and nippled ends to both sides. Item also features a pommel in the style of a WWII-era German eagle crested upon the NSDAP symbol. The grip is made from an ivory colored plastic material that is wrapped with twisted brass wiring. Gilded scabbard has two lanyard loops, and shows designs of palmettes, ermine feet, lightning bolts, and acanthus leaves to both sides. Blade is etched and frosted, showing fouled anchors, figural heads, and floral designs to both sides of blade. Ricasso displays Eickhorn/Solingen "Squirrel" manufacturer marks that were typically used from 1935-1941.

Very good. Blade still retains all of nickel plating and frosting to etched designs is still very fine. Gilding to scabbard, pommel, and crossguard shows some flaking and losses.
