(Some toning, very occasional spotting.) Original publisher's green cloth gilt (possibly rebacked, light wear to extremities, hinges reinforced). Sabin 50371. -- PARTON, James (1822-1891), GREELEY, Horace (1811-1872), HIGGINSON, T.W. (1823-1911), et al. Eminent Women of the Age; Being Narratives of the Lives and Deeds of the Most Prominent Women of the Present Generation. Hartford, CT: S.M. Betts & Company, 1868. Engraved frontispiece and half-title, 12 additional engravings. (Toning, pencil inscriptions especially to engraving of Harriet G. Hosmer.) Original publisher's green cloth gilt (spots of discoloration, front hinge started). -- HANAFORD, Phebe A. (1829-1921) Women of the Century. Boston: B.B. Russell, 1877. Engraved frontispiece portrait of the author with engraved plates and devices throughout. (Toning.) Original publisher's dark plum half leather gilt (scuffing especially to spine). Compilation of women's biographies by Hanaford, a civil rights activist and Universalist minister. -- STILLWELL, Margaret Bingham (1887-1984). The Annmary Brown Memorial. Providence: n.p., 1925. Engraved title page with devices throughout. (Light toning). Original publisher's cloth-backed tan boards, gilt spine title (cloth rubbed). FIRST EDITION of an essay by librarian and curator Stillwell commemorating the Annmary Brown Memorial, now at Brown University, which is home to the books, manuscript, and ephemera collections of General Rush C. Hawkins (1831-1920), commander of the Hawkins' Zouaves (9th New York Infantry). -- Together, 4 works in 4 volumes, all FIRST EDITION, 8vo.
