Winchester Model 1876 Saddle Ring Carbine

.45-75, 22" round barrel, S/N 23646 (mfg. ca1882). Blued finish, color casehardened lever and hammer, smooth, straight-gripped walnut stock with carbine buttplate, smooth full-length carbine forend. Standard Winchester markings, London commercial proof marks on barrel, 1876 marked ladder rear sight installed in reverse in the English style, saddle ring. Includes a Winchester factory letter.

Very good. Retains some blue, primarily on the receiver, mixed with a grayish and lightly oxidized brown patina. Lever and hammer with some strong traces of case color. Markings clear, mechanically functional, fine bright bore. Wood with scattered minor bumps, dings and mars.
