* Winchester M-1 Garand Rifle,

.30-06 caliber, 24" barrel, serial number 1636864. Barrel is marked P over a W with an oval. At the right side of the rifle between the gas cylinder bands it is marked ARL ORD Arlington, VA, indicating that it was a rifle returned from overseas by a private company. The bolt is marked D28287-1 WRA. Receiver is marked D28291WIN-13. OP rod is slant cut, curved-sided, relic cut modified and marked D35382-W.R.A. Trigger housing is marked D28290-W.R.A. Triggerguard is forged, milled and is marked C 46025 W.R.A. Gas cylinder is unmarked, and has the narrow front sight base. The rear gas cylinder ring does not have a flat area on top. Gas cylinder lock is low and there is no front sight seal. Buttstock has been lightly sanded. There is no visible cartouche. There are two serifed Ps, each in a circle on the front of the pistol grip. On the check rest side of the stock is marked Springfield over haul mark S.A. over F in a three-sided square. Complete with a green webbed sling.

This is a late WWII production rifle.

Condition:All metal shows very little wear and no abuse. Stocks are round with numerous scratches, dents and dings. This rifle will clean up very nicely and though its cartouche is missing, it represents a very collectible piece.
