WHITE DOG & BOY STRAPPED IN DAGUERREOTYPE

Sixth plate.

That may be just a belt that the boy is wearing, but more likely, it is to strap him into the chair. He wears a tunic which is laced down the front. Then there's the pantaloons, socks, and shoes. He seems to have a smirk or smile on his face.

The dog is adorable. He or she just waits patiently. Look at the dog's eyes, the nose, the mouth! Usually, because of various movements, it's the front part of an animal that's fuzzy and the back is distinct. In this case, the head of the dog is in very clear focus.
