FIRST EDITION of a booklet issued in connection with the unveiling of the statue Lifting the Veil of Ignorance at Tuskegee Normal and Industrial Institute in honor of its founder, Booker T. Washington. Accompanied by a printed invitation from William G. Willcox (chairman of the Board of Trustees) for a round-trip journey from New York to Tuskegee to witness the unveiling. Reports estimate the attendance at over 100,000 in April 1922.
