.30 caliber, 3" 6-shot ribbed barrel cluster, S/N 7. Blued and color casehardened finish, varnished walnut grips. Double action, bar hammer, 6-shot percussion pepperbox. Top of hammer marked THE/WASHINGTON/ARMS CO. Missing triggerguard. These pepperboxes were produced by the W.W. Marston Company during the 1850s and Washington Arms Company was one of the many trade names they used to mark some of their guns.
Good. Metal with no finish showing a mottled and oxidized gray-brown patina. Marking legible, mechanically functional, moderately oxidized and pitted bores. Missing triggerguard. Grips with some varnish remaining and showing scattered bump, dings and mars.
