American, second half 19th century. A Victorian parlor display consisting of a wicker basket filled with wax fruit and decorated with painted cork flowers and foliage, set on a round giltwood base with doilies, glasses and other bowls of fruit. All under a glass dome; oah. 18.5 in.
The piece was owned by the consignor's great-aunt, born in 1847, and descended in the family.
Some pieces loose and detached. Base chipped and missing some pieces.
Some detached giltwood pieces are present.
Item is extremely fragile and will be sold as is.
