Unused New York World's Fair Stamps and Souvenir Talcum Powder Dresser Box, 1939-1940

Lot of 54. 

53 commemorative stamps from the 1939 World's Fair in New York. The colorful stamps show artistic representations of the highlights of the fair including the hall of pharmacy, the Ford building, the bridge of tomorrow, and many more. All are unused. 

Accompanied by blue footed spun aluminum talcum powder souvenir dresser box with a celluloid insert of the Trylon and Perisphere from the 1940 World's Fair in New York. Measures 3.5 x 3 in. condition: very good

The New York World's fair was the second largest of all time. It was the first fair to be based on the future and showcased "the world of tomorrow." 

Condition:Many of the stamps are in excellent condition. Only a handful have minor surface damage.
