[UNITED CONFEDERATE VETERANS]. A group of UCV-related ephemera, comprising:

4 large (24 mm; Albert NC-5) and 4 small (16 mm; Albert does not list this variant) North Carolina buttons. [Waterbury, CT]: [Waterbury Button Co.], n.d. (Some darkening, shank of one large button bent). Obverse with North Carolina seal with "North Carolina" above and seven stars below. Reverse marked "Superior Quality." With metal name tags with handwritten name "Gen'l W.A. Smith" and typed name "Mrs. W.A. Smith / Ansonville, N.[C.]." 2 x 3/4 in. (paper toned). Provenance: William Alexander Smith (b. ca 1843 d. unknown) who served with the 14th NC Infantry and was a commander with the UCV. Enlisted on 7/22/1861 at Camp Ellis as a private and was mustered into Co. C on the same day. He was wounded on 7/1/1862 at Malvern Hill, VA and later that year discharged for wounds. (Dealer's letter of provenance).

Wooden box covered with Confederate paper currency. N.p., n.d. 19 1/2 x 8 1/2 x 8 3/4 in. (currency well worn, top joining with gap). 

Dance card with albumen studio portrait of Robert E. Lee. N.p., n.d. Image 1 3/4 x 2 1/4 in. (light crease); overall approx. 4 1/2 x 3 1/2 in. (not inclusive of tassel); framed to 7 1/2 x 8 1/2 in. 

UCV Southern Cross of Honor grave marker. Syracuse, NY: Balch Bros & West Co., n.d. 5 1/2 x 7 in. (occasional tarnishing, some pitting). 

Bracelet mounted with 5 UCV buttons (Albert CS-227). L. 7 1/2 in. Button diam. 23 mm. (Buttons not examined off of mounts, slight darkening). 

J.E.B. Stuart ceramic curio box. N.p., n.d. 2 1/2 x 4 1/4 x 1 3/4 in. (Gilding worn off, small crack at horse's hind legs, lid sits askance as made).

United Confederate Veterans March. Rahway, NJ: Regina Music Box Co., ca 1893. 15 1/2 in. metal music box record (some warping, spots of oxidation). 

7 brass buttons. N.p: Leavenworth & Co., n.d. 18 mm (spots of tarnishing, heavy wear). 

7 small (15 mm) and 16 large (23 mm) possible reproduction UCV buttons. Waterbury, CT: Waterbury Button Co., n.d. (Albert CS-226B; Albert lists no 15mm variation by Waterbury with a date hyphen).
