U.S. Model 1836 Flintlock Pistol

.54 caliber. 8.5" barrel length. SN: NSN. Flintlock pistol. Bright metal finish. Walnut stock has a plain pistol grip and single barrel band. Item features a straight backed swan neck cock, swinging ramrod, scooped rear sight, and brass blade front sight. Item appears to have a Simeon North lock mechanism. Markings include "S. NORTH./U {patriotic eagle} S/MIDLTN CONN." to lockplate, and "US/NWP/P" to left side of barrel. Stock has boxed cartouche marks for both John Avis Waters "JA", and Henry Knox Craig "HKC" to left side. Item is without flint. 


Poor to fair. Finish has mostly depleted or developed a dark brown patina, with surface oxidation scattered overall. Missing a screw on lockplate. Action is not functional.
