.44 caliber, 8" barrel, S/N 38106 (Ca. 1862). Visible numbers matching. Cleaned finish with replacement wood grips. Blade front sight. Top of barrel marked with one-line "NEW-YORK U.S. AMERICA" address. Left side of frame marked with two-line patent. Cylinder, trigger guard, and back strap show inspector markings. Other markings worn away by cleaning.
Condition:
Fair. Finish has an overall gray coloration with some isolated darkening. Grips show very little wear. Remaining markings are weak but legible. Mechanically functional. Bore is fair to good; show some pitting with some scratches. Rifling shows some wear with rounded edges.
