.44 caliber, 8" round barrel, S/N 65787 (Ca. 1862). Cleaned finish with walnut grips. Blade front sight. Visible numbers matching. Top of barrel marked with one-line "New-York U.S. America" address. Left side of frame has two-line patent marking. Right grip has weak cartouche. Barrel, backstrap, cylinder, and trigger guard all show inspector markings.
Fair. Cleaned finish has some darkening to plumb on barrel and loading lever. Frame screws have some marring. Markings are legible but faint. Action does not function normally. Bore is fair; dark brown with some pitting. Rifling has moderate wear but still has visible lands and grooves.
