Two Stoneware Canning Jars With Cobalt Tulips

Attributed to Henry Atchison, New Geneva, Pennsylvania, circa 1860

conical jars, both unmarked, with similar graceful cobalt tulip decorations.  

Height of larger 8 1/2 inches.

Smaller example Ex. Crocker Farm, July 2019, Lot 175.

Condition:

Tallest with a number of chips on exterior rim, and a few firing imperfections and browning to body. Smaller example with 4 3/8 inch vertical hairline visible on both exterior and interior, a salt drip on the rear side, and a few firing imperfections.
