Western Pennsylvania, 19th Century

includes a conical shaped jar with strong, everted lip, body with cobalt stenciled Jas. Hamilton & Co Greensboro. Pa. and central cobalt fan, and an unmarked, straight-sided example with free-hand cobalt tulip, dashes and stripes.  

Height of larger 6 1/2 inches.

Condition:

Hamilton canner with two base chips, neither visible from front; Tulip example as-made glaze flaws on both the front and rear.
