Two Early 19th Century Boxed Surgeon's Kits,

both ca 1810-30 and mahogany with brass fittings; first with double hinged front doors with velvet lined fitted compartments for medicine bottles in doors and upper half of case with original period four bottles above two drawers with turned ivory knobs, opening to reveal fitted interior with bottles and tools (six), 8.5" x 7.5" x 10.8" high; second case with inset brass hardware, lift hinged lid top opening to reveal fitted interior with spaces for 10 medicine bottles (four present), dovetailed drawer in front with fitted interior and brass scales with weights, lift out shelf with tin containers below and more, in original finish, 4.5" x 11.75" x 9.2" high.

Condition:1st missing small piece of trim from interior, else VG; 2nd missing key hole escutcheon and some damage to interior divisions.
