Lot of 3 tokens produced for William Henry Harrison's "Log Cabin and Hard Cider" campaign of 1840. Includes two brass tokens, each approx. 24 mm, bearing a military portrait bust of Harrison on obverse, encircled by text reading, "Maj. Genl. W.H. Harrison / Born Feb. 9. 1773." Reverse inscribed with "The People's Choice / The Hero / Of / Tippecanoe" enclosing a landscape scene of a log cabin with small smokeless chimney and door at right, flag and window at left, with trees on either side and cider barrel at left [WHH 1840-49]. The third token, also brass, approx. 24 mm, with same obverse and reverse inscription reading, "The People's Choice / In The Year / 1840." Log cabin appears on reverse, with window and four-planked door, with chimney and flag rising from the roof and cider barrel at right [WHH 1840-50].
