American, early 19th century. A set of three Federal fancy chairs with stepped crests over shaped splats, caned seats, and turned legs. The original paint decoration includes musical instruments, bows, and arrows, and gold striping on a black ground; oah. 35 in. (each).

Some joints reglued/reinforced, wear to paint, all seats have been recaned. 

Paint is mostly original, with minor restorations.
