American, 19th century. A sugar chest in walnut and poplar secondary, having a hinged lift top surface with interior divider, the dovetailed case above a single full dovetailed drawer with wooden mushroom pulls, all rising on turned legs; ht. 33, wd. 35.75, dp. 19 in.
