Springfield U.S. Model 1795 Conversion Musket

.73 caliber, 44.5", NSN.  Bright finish with fluted stock.  Converted to percussion via drum-in-barrel method.  Lockplate marked "US" over "SPRINGFIELD" with 1813 date on rear of lockplate and buttplate.  Left side of barrel marked with "P" proof.  Missing front and rear sling swivels.


Fair.  Barrel and metal furniture have a mixed pewter and patina with darkening and pitting around lockplate.  Some dents on barre near breech.  Stock has blemishes consistent with age and use with some additional dent clusters near lockplate and toe.  Lock is functional.  Bore is fair; dark with craters and pitting.
