Springfield Model 1842 Musket,
.69 caliber, 41.5" barrel, three barrel bands. Lockplate marked with eagle and U.S. Springfield and dated 1852.
Condition:All metal parts are pitted and brown. With deep pitting around the percussion bolster. Nipple is a replacement. Stock is well-worn. With initials carved into the left side A and then on the butt NY. Barrel has been cut down .5"
