* Springfield M-1D Garand Rifle,

.30-06 caliber, 24" barrel, serial number 377207. Barrel is marked S-A-3-52. Bolt is marked D28287-2-SA. Receiver is marked D 28291-13 SA. OP rod is straight cut, curved-sided, has not been modified with the relief cut and is marked D35382 3 SA. Trigger housing is marked D28290-5-SA. Triggerguard is forged, milled and marked C-46025-1-SA. The complete M84 telescope sight is marked 41154 and has the rubber eyepiece and sliding fan shade. The gas cylinder is unmarked and has a flat on top of the rear ring and the wide front sight base. There is a T37 in place and a leather cheek rest marked MRT over 11-62. The buttstock is a gloss bedded N.M. Stock marked in the bed 5059. There is a faint DOD eagle cartouche on the left side and a serifed P within a circle on the forward side of the pistol grip. The rifle has the sling in place.

This is a late pre-war production rifle which has been converted to the M-1D configuration.

Condition:The metal is in very fine condition showing practically no wear. The stock is in excellent condition with almost no dings or dents. This is a superior example of an M-1D which was at some depot other than Springfield.
