.30-06 caliber, serial number 1082991. Bolt is marked 6528287-SA. OP rod is straight cut, curved-sided and has the relief cut modification and is marked D35382 6 SA. Receiver is marked D 28291 17. Barrel is S-A-252. The complete M84 telescope sight is numbered 46161 and has the rubber eye cap and the sliding sun shade. The gas cylinder is unmarked and has the wide front sight base. There is a flat on top of the rear ring. There is no front sight seal. There is a combined gas cylinder lock and flash suppressor. There is no visible cartouche, but there is a clear serifed "P" in a circle on the front of the triggerguard. The butt has a leather cheek piece in place, marked MRP/11-16 in two lines on the right side.

Early WWII production which has been modified to the M-1D super configuration.

Condition:The metal appears to have been refinished. There is pitting on both sides of the receiver where it lies below the edge of the buttstock. The gas cylinder shows moderate wear to its finish. All wood is in very good condition, though the buttstock appears to have been sanded. This is a very fine piece and in general is in excellent condition.
