.30-06 caliber, serial number 2210346. Bolt is marked D28287-125A. The barrel is marked SA 6535448 3 65 Y78. The receiver is marked D 28291 32 and on the right lug of the magazine lug. Further marked Federal Ordnance Inc./El Monte, CA. U.S.A. in two lines. The receiver has a reddish tone to it as though it had been dipped in some sort of coloring/refinishing solution. The OP rod is straight cut, flat-sided, and has the relief cut modification. It is marked D35382 SA. The trigger housing is marked D28290-12-SA and is highly pitted around the working. The safety is a Winchester part. It has the forged and milled triggerguard that is unmarked. The gas cylinder has an N stamped on the flat of the bayonet stud and a C stamped on the flat to the rear of the receiver. It has a flat on the top of the rear ring. The front sight base is wide. The early gas cylinder lock is without the high-hump. There is no front sight seal. The buttstock bears a very faint AAR on the left side and a very faint P on the front of the pistol grip. Rifle is equipped with a new military-style leather sling.

This is a mid-WWII production rifle which has been rebuilt, sent overseas, and returned to the U.S.

Condition:The handguards are in excellent condition. The wood is smooth and without any patent defects. It has been sanded under the butt area and around the buttplate. Very good condition other than reddish color and pitting.
