* Springfield M-1 Garand Rifle,
.30-06 caliber, serial number 5959165. Bolt is marked 6528287-SA. The barrel is marked SA D6535448 1 56 A225. The receiver is marked F 6528291. The OP rod is straight cut, flat-sided, has the relief cut modifications and is marked 6535382 SA. Trigger housing is a replacement and is marked IHC D6528290. Triggerguard is stamped with bent hook. Gas cylinder is unmarked and has the wide front sight base and there is a flat on the top of the rear ring. The gas cylinder lock is high-humped and there is no front sight seal. The birch replacement buttstock is in good condition and carries a small unserifed P on the forward side of the pistol grip.

Condition:All metal shows some light wear with no abuse. The front end of the gas cylinder has had some of the finish worn away to a bright metal. The handguards show some considerable wear, dents and small gouges. Careful cleaning of all wood would greatly improve the quality of this rifle that is already in good condition.
