** Springfield Armory M1 Garand with original CMP box

.30-06. 24" barrel length. SN: 3867551. Parkerized finish, smooth walnut stock. Top rear of receiver marked in four lines: "U.S. RIFLE / CAL. .30 M1 / SPRINGFIELD / ARMORY" over the serial number. Springfield Arsenal barrel is dated "6-52" and has the correct T37 4-prong flash hider included for use as an M1D. A deep "{Circle-P}" firing proof is present in the face of the pistol grip of the stock. Equipped with the quick detachable John Garand designed mount for the M84 telescopic sight, with correctly countersunk screws in the hinge plate. Includes an M84 marked scope "S/N 21686" with original eye cup. A "3-69" dated MRT leather cheek rest is attached to the butt. Throat erosion 1, muzzle erosion 1.5. Rifle is in the original CMP shipping shipping box which is numbered to both the gun and scope and retains the original packing materials, Mylar bags for the scope and flash hider, etc. The box shipped from Anniston on December 18, 1995.

Condition:

Fine, as CMP refurbished, showing no obvious use since it was delivered to the owner. Crisp throughout with only some very minor handling scuffs to the Parkerizing. Mechanically functional, fine bore, crisp wood. Scope with clear optics.
