**Spreewerk P.38 cyq-Code
9mm Parabellum. 5" barrel length. SN: 2989X. Double-action pistol with removable 8-shot magazine, military lanyard ring, exposed hammer, and fixed notch and shark fin sights. Blued military finish to metal and grooved mottled brown Bakelite grips. Features grooving to spur hammer, safety toggle, slide lock, magazine release, and takedown lever. Markings include an (Eagle/88) mark to left of frame, and an (Eagle/359) mark to slide lock. On right side of slide, there are two (Eagle/88) marks surrounding a late war (German Eagle) acceptance mark. To left of slide, there is a standard P.38 model name mark, followed by a "cyq" Spreewerk code. There are also Century Arms importer marks to right of slide. Full serial numbers can be found marked to left of slide, left of frame, and to front of slide. Magazine is marked "P.38" to left side, with a non-matching serial number on bottom that has been obfuscated.
Condition:
Good. Bore is frosty and shows signs of oxidation, residue to rifling. Finish shows heavy machine marks, as well as small scratches overall. There is pitting and surface oxidation to left of slide. One small bite to both grips, with light scratches.
