.38 Special. 6" barrel length. SN: 471244. Square butt double action revolver with a fluted 6-shot swing out cylinder. Blued metal finish with case hardened trigger and hammer. Item has plain walnut grips with S&W medallions to both sides. Features a hand ejector and fixed notch and blade sights. Markings include one-line "MADE IN U.S.A." to right side of frame. Serial number is followed with a star mark on bottom of grip strap.
Condition:
Fair to good. Bore is bright with some light pitting toward throat. Finish to barrel has finish loss to muzzle likely from holstering. Item also has small losses and spots of oxidation scattered to frame overall. Grips have minor wear and some bites to left side grip. Grip medallions both have oxidation.
