Smith & Wesson Model 3 American with Holster
.44 caliber. 6.5" barrel length. SN: 30943. Single-action top break revolver with fluted 6-shot cylinder, barrel rib, and fixed notch and blade sights. Blued metal finish and bone colored grips with S&W logo relief to both. Includes stamped brown leather holster. Manufactured sometime between 1870-1872.
Condition:
Fair to good. Bore is frosty and has some residue to rifling. Cartridge chambers also have residue. Most of finish has been subjected to pitting and oxidation overall. Grips do not appear original and there is a gap to top of both grips exposing grip strap cutaway. Grips show wear to checkering and some discoloration. Holster shows wear, losses, and cracks overall.
