.22 LR. 6" barrel length. SN: K161901. Blued metal finish with casehardened hammer and trigger. Boxed checkered walnut Smith & Wesson medallion grips, and adjustable rear target notch and matted front blade sights. Double-action hand-ejector 6-shot revolver with no internal safety lock. Standard Smith & Wesson factory markings overall. SMITH & WESSON mark on left barrel and address to right frame show some weakness. Action does not function properly and must be repaired.
Condition:
Fair to Good. Bore is very bright with crisp rifling. Area of light pitting to left muzzle. Finish shows thinning and abrasions to muzzle and forward flanks of barrel. Finish to cylinder is thinning. Strong casehardening to hammer and trigger. Grips show handling wear and mars with overall loss of varnish and chips to right grip panel. Action fails to cock and release hammer when trigger is pulled, instead it indexes the cylinder only.
