.38 S&W Special. 2" pinned barrel length. SN: 36275. Double-action revolver with swing out 5-shot fluted cylinder, cartridge extractor, and fixed notch and ramp sights. Blued metal finish, case hardened trigger and hammer, and checkered walnut grips with silver S&W monogram medallions to both sides. 3-screw frame with a round butt. Manufactured sometime between 1950-1957 before the model was renamed the "Model 36". Includes Bucheimer "Federal Man" thumb-break holster. Fine example of a low serial number Pre-Model 36 revolver.
Good to very good. Bore is bright and rifling is sharp. Cartridge chambers are clean. Finish has some thinned losses to muzzle and on edges of cylinder. Grips are in good condition. Cylinder is fairly tight and action is functional.
