Account written by John G. Aikin, administrator of his deceased father's (William A. Aikin) estate, records the hiring and sale of enslaved persons with individual names and prices listed. "To Cash recd. on sales of negroes, due at this date on notes / Harris Toneys...1250.00 / I.W. Looney...521.00 / Danl. Gaudy...610.50..."
