Sixth plate tintype housed in full pressed paper case featuring a Confederate soldier. He is equipped with infantry accoutrements as well as a tin drum canteen and civilian hat, turned up on the right side. His short, nine-button jacket with branch-colored facings conforms to known patterns issued by the State of Alabama Quartermaster Department, as well as those manufactured by Peter Tait & Company of Limerick, Ireland, imported by the state from 1864 through 1865.
