Sixth Plate Daguerreotype of Aunty Moser, 103 years of age

Sixth plate daguerreotype of an aged woman, identified on an inked label affixed to the mat Aunty Moser / Nov. 27 1852 / Taken in her 103rd year of age.  Housed in a half case.

The earliest-born person ever photographed is often cited as Conrad Heyer, a veteran of the American Revolution born in 1749 and photographed in 1852 at the age of 103.  If the age of the subject in the portrait is accurate, "Aunty Moser" may have a rival claim to that distinction.

Condition:Plate a little dark, with tarnish ring at mat edges.
