Sixth Plate Ambrotype of Armed 2nd Corps Soldier
Unidentified bearded private wearing distinctive trefoil 2nd Corps badge formally adopted March 21, 1863. Accepting this as a rather late ambrotype, he still carries an imported .71 caliber M1809 Potsdam musket. No brass insignia on kepi that would denote regiment.
Condition:Plate is near EXC with minor tarnish ring around mat opening with good clarity; housed in complete composition case.
