two rows of bone hairpipes are threaded through leather spacers using hide thongs; central row of brass beads; circular mirror and engraved mother-of-pearl medallion are attached; a handwritten collection tag reads: Sioux Breast Plate from the Wounded Knee battlefield. Picked up by a member of the 7th Cav. Dec. 29th, 1890./ E194 Sioux-Hunkpapa 1890 period. length 13.75 in. x width 8 in.
