Item features a shira-saya (basic blonde wood) tsuka and saya with sayagaki (blade info) marked to exterior. Included with item is paperwork from a Japanese sword consultant detailing origins and characteristics of the blade. Consultant paperwork included with item states: "This 5th generation Munemitsu sword is rated very high in the experts books and is ranked Jo Jo Saku in Fujishiros koto volume. Also high points in Hawleys Bk. A very good representative piece of the Bizen School."
Blade is very good, with only few occurrences of single pit marks, and two speck sized bites to blade near habaki (blade collar). Shira-saya has some scratching and losses to exterior. Mekugi (peg) appears to have a small crack to it.
