Sharps Hankins Navy Carbine
.52 RF. 23.5" barrel length. SN: 11273. Blued metal finish to barrel with case hardened finish to frame and brass buttplate. Walnut stock has a plain straight grip. Single shot breechloading rifle with a sliding barrel, tangent rear sight, and bayonet lug blade front sight. Item features a sling swivel and serpentine lever. There are no visible markings on item. Missing leather cover from barrel.
Condition:
Fair. Bore is frosty and has heavy residue to rifling. Finish has mottled black appearance to both frame and barrel due to thinning losses and pitting. Wood stock is good, with some light scratches and mars. Action is non-functional, hammer does not lock in place. Leather cover is missing from barrel.
