Scarce Ezekial C. Hawkins Sixth Plate Daguerreotype of a Woman

Sixth plate, with applied paper strip label, "Hawkins Artist in Daguerreotype." Depicts a doe-eyed young woman with applied gold leaf ? (not painted)brooch.  In full leather case.  Ezekial C. Hawkins opened a the first daguerreotype gallery in Cincinnati in 1840, making him one of the earliest artist west of the Alleghenies.   


With original paper seals, minor weeping of cover glass that should be replaced.
