Rockingham Glaze Wares

American. A selection of eleven pieces of yellow ware pottery with Rockingham glaze including a Toby pitcher, a small pitcher with raised oak leaf decoration, a lidded sugar bowl with raised foliate decoration, a figural bank with TAKE MONEY HERE on the back, six handled mugs, and one tumbler; (Toby pitcher) ht. 6, wd. 3.75, dp. 5.25 in. 

 

Condition:

Allover crazing to glaze, general wear consistent with age, sugar bowl with 3-inch crack to body 1-inch crack to edge of lid, bank with residual red paint to hat, small chip to edge of hat brim, 3/4-inch chip to base, mug second from right back row has hairline crack the length of the cup left of the handle, mug right back row has 1/8-inch chip to rim, mug at left front row has chips to handle, glaze loss at rim, and hairline crack running almost entire length of body 3 inches right of handle, mug third from right front row has some glaze imperfections appearing to be bubbles, tumbler has 1/8-inch chip to rim.
