** Remington Model 81 Woodsmaster

.35 REM. 22" barrel length. SN: 46265. Semi automatic rifle with integrated magazine and adjustable notch and fixed blade sights. Blued metal finish with a silver knurled bolt and bolt handle. Walnut stock has a plain semi pistol grip and forearm. Item is a takedown model manufactured sometime in March of 1949. The Model 81 is an updated version of the Remington Model 8, which was used by the FBI and police during the heyday of gangsters in the 1930's and 1940's. The infamous duo Bonnie and Clyde were actually ambushed by Texas Rangers using Remington Model 81's with custom extended magazines. 


Very good. Bore is bright. Retains most of original finish overall, with speckled pitting to frame. Wood stock is in great condition.
