Rare US Navy cartridge Box for Remington Pistol
5.75" x 3.5" x 1.5" leather cartridge box, flap embossed US. Sewn-only construction with single belt loop and closure tab, brass acorn closure finial. Cap pocket on interior face of box; six-compartment tin for cartridge packets. Interior flap marked U.S.N.Y. / BOSTON.
Condition:
Very good. Solid throughout with strong stitching. Markings clear. Leather with some finish loss, particularly on the rear and along the high edges.
