Tomahawk pipe with a New England-style flat axe head and slightly flared beard. Item has a 2.5" blade and a 20.5" curled maple haft. Features a pipe to butt of axe head, and a mouthpiece to end of haft. There is an original museum label adhered to right side of haft that reads: "Presented by Mr. Chas. Harreus, Stapleton, S.I. - Said to be used during the Revolution." Item is of indeterminate age.
Fair to good. Axe head has a thick patina overall, with scratching and a bite to blade. Haft remains glossy and with label and some darkening toward axe head.
