Peters Cartridge Company Advertisement
Frame 20.75" width, 35.75" length. Sight 14" width, 29" length. Framed advertisement for "The Peters Cartridge Co." with a profile of a Native American woman loosely wrapped in a leather and fur shawl. Background is a yellow sky fading into shades of green toward the top. Image surrounded by a blue border. Company name is written in cursive script to top with the text "CINCINNATI,/OHIO U.S.A." at the bottom. Lower border shows text "COPYRIGHT BY HAYES LITHO. CO. BUFFALO, N.Y." Frame is varnished wood with a gold painted fillet. Item was not examined out of frame.
Condition:
Poor. Varnish flaking off frame which shows rusted nails and splitting to seams. Item is discolored for the lower 20 inches with portions of pigment and cardboard having stuck to the glass and been pulled free of the medium beneath. Back of frame shows discoloration from water damage and some tears to paper back.
