Two volumes, 1 & 2, The Select Circulating Library, Containing the Best Popular Literature, Including Memoirs, Biography, Novels, Tales, Travels, Voyages, &c. Part 1 - 1835; Part 2 - 1836. Philadelphia: Adam Waldie, 1835, 1836. Both 4to, 3/4 leather over paper. First volume includes articles such as "Travels into Bokhara: being an Account of a Journey from India to Cabool, Tartary, and Persia..." and "Narrative of a Second Voyage in Search of a Northwest Passage, and of a Residence in the Arctic Regions, During the years 1829, 30, 31,32, 33" by John Ross. Second volume has "The Shipwreck of the Halsewell," "The Crusaders," and "Dryburgh Abbey: The Burial Place of Sir Walter Scott." Spines sunned, cracking. Ffep of vol. 1 torn. Generally OK.
