Percussion Trade Pistol by Sharpe
.56 caliber. 8 barrel length. SN: NSN. Percussion pistol without any sights. Bright metal finish with brass furnishings. Walnut stock has a plain grip and forend with two stock thimbles. Markings include "EXTRA/SHARPE/PROOF" to top of barrel, and "SHARPE" marked to center of lockplate. Barrel also shows several Birmingham House proof marks on left side, partially obscured by stock. Item appears to have been converted to percussion from flintlock at some point.
Condition:
Good. Bore is dark with some oxidation and residue. Finish has thinned on areas of barrel and lockplate, leaving a mottled silver-brown appearance. Brass has mottled darkened discoloration. Stock shows several small cracks overall, with some scattered scratching and missing stock pin.
