Outstanding Camp Chase Civil War Folk Art Cane

A hand-carved cane with ball handle; 4 faces carved in relief below handle; followed by diamond-shaped carving with 8 sides, and although illegible, it appears that one letter was once inked on each side; followed by 8-sided section with G. Lee, G. JN., P. DA, G.B. on every other side, all in relief; followed by another 8-sided section with A. BW, Camp, Chase, Ohio, June, 4 1862 on 6 sides, all in relief, with drawings of animals and heart inked on 2 additional sides; multiple snakes, lizards, and birds curled around the remainder of the shaft; 1 in. ferrule, overall 35 in. long.

Condition:Some wear to handle and throughout cane; scattered nicks in cane.
