Original Ninth Plate Ruby Ambrotype of Drummer Boy Johnny Clem,
Condition:The plate is somewhat dark with a smoky look typical of oxidation in ambrotypes. Heavy mat scratches are visible outside of brass hardware, but only minor under the mat. The image has reasonably strong clarity but is not razor sharp, still VG given the subject matter.
