This was an American translation of Daguerre's manual, with three illustrations.Vol 28. No. 5 November 1839 includes Daguerre and Blickensderfer's "Practical description of the process called the Daguerreotype, which consists in the spontaneous reproduction of the images of natural objects, in the Camera Obscura, not with their colours, but with great delicacy in the gradation of the tints."
