Mustering Out Paper of L. Thompson, 105th O.V.I.

nicely tinted tintype standing portrait with Thompson wearing kepi, frock coat with 3 stripes on cuffs, officers belt with cap box and pistol holster, mounted in period gold painted gesso and wood frame, 12" x 12.5", AND partially printed document from the Adjutant General's Office, State of Ohio, listing Thompson as serving in Co. G, 105th OVI, serving from Aug. 1862 through June 3rd, 1865, 8" x 10" and framed with faded red, white and blue silk ribbon along bottom, 10.3" x 13.5".

Lamonzo Thompson enlisted as a private and was promoted twice, achieving the rank of 1st Sgt. The 105th OVI had an honorable battle record in the Western theater engaged at Perryville, Tullahoma campaign, Chickamauga, Chattanooga, Missionary Ridge, Atlanta campaign and Sherman's march to the sea.
